## What Cin7 actually is

Cin7 is cloud inventory management aimed at product businesses selling across multiple channels - direct, wholesale, marketplace and retail. It is offered as Cin7 Core in published tiers, each defined by a number of users, a number of e-commerce and app integrations and an annual sales-order volume, with material requirements planning appearing at the Pro tier and advanced warehouse management at Advanced. Cin7 Omni is a separately quoted, fully customisable option. The company reports over 8,500 customers processing more than 125 million orders a year, and the multi-channel and 3PL connectivity is one of its strengths.

## What Cin7 does well

- Excellent multi-channel and marketplace connectivity, including 3PL integrations that are hard to build yourself.
- Strong retail and wholesale features - B2B portals, price tiers, consignment - built for businesses selling the same stock several ways.
- Published tier pricing with clear inclusions, which makes comparison easier than most of the market.
- Large customer base and correspondingly mature integrations with the major sales channels.

## Side by side

## Worth checking before you sign

- **Tiers are defined by three separate limits:** Users, integration count and annual sales-order volume all gate the tier. Growth in any one of the three can force an upgrade, and it is often the order volume rather than the headcount that moves first.
- **MRP and advanced warehouse sit at higher tiers:** Material requirements planning appears at Pro and advanced warehouse management at Advanced. A manufacturer will therefore be pricing the upper tiers rather than the entry one.
- **Additional integrations are chargeable:** Each tier includes a set number of e-commerce and app integrations, with more available to purchase. For a business connecting several channels, a 3PL, a courier and an accounts package, that count goes quickly.
- **Pricing is published in US dollars:** Cin7 lists its tiers in USD. For a UK business that means the actual cost moves with the exchange rate, which is worth factoring into a multi-year comparison.

## When Cin7 is the better choice

If your business is fundamentally about selling the same stock through many channels - your own site, Amazon, wholesale, retail partners, a 3PL - Cin7 is built for exactly that and has connectivity we do not try to match. A brand shipping through several marketplaces and a third-party warehouse is Cin7’s home ground, not ours.

## What leaving Cin7 involves

- **Manufacturing is the usual reason:** The pattern is a brand that started by buying finished goods and now makes some of them. At that point the system is being asked to carry routings, work-in-progress and component traceability, and the tier required to do that changes the economics.
- **Map the channels before anything else:** Every sales channel, 3PL and courier connection is listed at discovery with its data direction, because that is what determines whether the move is simple or involved.
- **Order history is usually large:** Multi-channel businesses accumulate very high transaction volumes. Decide early how much history needs to be live rather than archived. It is the biggest single lever on migration cost.

## Frequently asked questions

**Is CubeERP a multi-channel system?**

It integrates with Shopify, WooCommerce and Magento, and connects to couriers and EDI trading partners. It is not built around marketplace selling in the way Cin7 is, and if that is the core of your business Cin7 is the more natural fit.

**Why do businesses move from Cin7 to CubeERP?**

Almost always because they have started manufacturing rather than just distributing. Routings, capacity planning, work-in-progress valuation and component-level traceability are where an inventory-led system starts working hard.

**Do you charge per integration?**

No. Every documented integration is included, and the REST API and webhooks are on every account, so building your own costs nothing in licence terms.

**How does order volume affect our price?**

It does not. There are no annual order-volume tiers in CubeERP. The only thing that changes the subscription is the number of named users.

**Can we keep our 3PL connection?**

Usually, via the API or an EDI connection. We check this specifically at discovery, because a 3PL relationship is often contractual as well as technical and it is not a detail to discover late.
