What Unleashed actually is
Unleashed is cloud inventory management for product-based businesses, covering purchasing, sales orders, stock and light production, integrating closely with Xero and QuickBooks.
It is sold as Core and Pro bundles at published flat monthly rates, each including a set number of user licences, a monthly sales-order allowance and a number of integrations, with additional users charged monthly. A substantial amount of capability - advanced inventory planning and MRP, warehouse management and multi-bin, production and manufacturing, CRM, advanced shipping, B2B store and analytics - is sold as optional monthly modules, several of which are included on the Pro bundle. Support tiers and onboarding packages are also priced separately.
Credit where it is due
What Unleashed does well
These are the real reasons it has the customers it has. If two or more of them describe something you need, weight them heavily.
A mature, well-proven inventory core with a long track record and a large UK and Australasian customer base.
Excellent Xero and QuickBooks integration - for a distributor whose finance sits in Xero, this is a well-trodden path.
Published pricing, which is more transparency than most of the mid-market offers.
You can start small on the Core bundle and add capability as the need appears.
Side by side
The differences that actually change the decision
Not a feature checklist. These are the structural differences - licensing, scope, who implements it - that determine whether a system fits, and they are the ones nobody tells you until month four.

Worth checking
Questions to put to them before you sign
None of these are faults. They are design decisions with consequences, and every one of them is answerable - so ask.
The modular pricing adds up
Advanced inventory planning, warehouse and multi-bin, production, CRM, advanced shipping and analytics are each monthly line items on the Core bundle. A distributor needing warehouse management and forecasting should price the bundle plus the modules plus the extra users, not the bundle alone.
Sales-order volume is capped
Bundles include a monthly sales-order allowance, with upgrade tiers above it. Seasonal businesses and anybody with a good year should check where they land before comparing prices.
Users are allowances, not unlimited
Each bundle includes a small number of user licences, with additional users charged monthly on top. This is a per-user model with a bundled floor rather than a flat fee.
Support is a paid tier
Standard and premier support are priced monthly, and onboarding is a separate one-off fee ranging from self-serve to full implementation. Include whichever you would realistically buy in any comparison.
If you are a distributor or wholesaler with straightforward stock, no manufacturing to speak of, a small core team and finance already in Xero, Unleashed on the Core bundle is a sound, proven and probably cheaper choice. It is a good product with a lot of satisfied customers, and if the modules you need are the ones bundled into Pro, the economics work well.
If you do move
What leaving Unleashed actually involves
- 1
Count the modules first
The comparison only makes sense once every optional module, additional user, order-volume upgrade and support tier is on the same page. That exercise takes about twenty minutes and settles most of the question either way.
- 2
Production is the usual trigger
Businesses tend to move when assemblies become real manufacturing - routings, capacity, work-in-progress valuation, shop-floor capture - rather than because inventory stopped working.
- 3
Xero stays exactly where it is
If your ledger is in Xero, nothing about that changes. CubeERP posts to Xero the same way, so your accountant sees continuity rather than a migration.
Questions
What people ask when comparing us with Unleashed
It depends entirely on which modules you need. On the Core bundle with few users and no add-ons, Unleashed is likely cheaper. Once warehouse management, forecasting, production, extra users and a support tier are added, the two get much closer. Put both on one page with three-year totals.
Not on its own - upgrading the allowance is usually cheaper than changing systems. It is a reason to move if it coincides with needing production, multi-site warehousing or traceability that would each be another module anyway.
No. There are no order-volume tiers, no transaction charges and no per-connector integration fees. The only variable is the number of named users.
CubeERP’s warehouse module works on standard Android and iOS devices as well as dedicated rugged scanners, and there is no per-device charge. If you have bought hardware, it very likely carries over.
Comparatively straightforward. Unleashed holds clean, well-structured data with a capable API, and if your ledger stays in Xero there is no financial migration at all. It is one of the easier moves we do.
